Belle Meadow Fayre – a two part Pilgrim Special

Hello everyone. Still buzzing after a joyous week in studio with an amazing cast and the best sound design crew in the business I can at last announce the new two part Pilgrim is safely in the digital can and is to be broadcast on Radio 4 on the 30 and 31st October this year. It’s an amazing privilege to hear the words I put down a page come to such brilliant  life. I’m also very aware that having a front row seat and witnessing Paul Hilton and Toby Jones and Holli Dempsey and Carl Prekopp and Sirine Saba and Shreya Lallu and David Hounslow and Nuhazet Diaz Canu – do their amazing stuff is a rare blessing.

To see actors with decades worth of experience work with young actors making their first way in the profession is, and always has been,  one of the many great things about making this work. Being in studio with Sasha Yevtushenko ( director) Pete Ringrose (studio Manager) and Ali Craig (Spot – the artist who does the in-studio sound effects) reminded me of how much I have loved working in this medium for many years.  on  As I’ve blogged  before a rare thing will be lost if we lose it.

Missed you Marc and Jessica – where would Pilgrim be without you?

Sky and Endor

Later this month  I’m at last about  to embark on creating,  developing and writing a new TV Series for Sky. Provisionally called Rachinski and Finch. It’s an amazing opportunity and IC can’t wait to start. I’ll let you know more when I’m further along the line.

Until then I’ve a few weeks to work on some short stories and prepare for a read through of Endor – the screenplay I’ve previously mentioned.

Margate

Many thanks to Andreas Loizou and all at the Margate Bookie for making me so welcome the other weekend. It’s always a rare treat to chat to writers about approaches to making work. Plus we had the brilliant sunshine and the wonder of Margate sands.
